Family owned and operated by brothers Jason and Josh Bell, Springbok Coffee Roasters is a small batch, specialty coffee roaster based in downtown Charleston. The company opened its doors in 2015 and quickly became a local sweetheart, praised for the meticulous processing their growers enforce at each mill to ensure a superior quality and flavor profile that stays consistent year after year. All coffee sold by Springbok Coffee Roasters is harvested by family producers from regions including Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.
The fruits of their labor provide a taste of their rich cultural heritages and unique identities as coffee growers.
In addition to their single-origin coffees, Springbok Coffee Roasters also boasts a great selection of blended offerings, like their Charleston Village Blend with tasting notes of baker’s chocolate and almond. Another favourite is their Ansonborough Blend which combines grounds from Africa and Central America and balances tasting notes of milk chocolate, sweet lemon, and hints of blueberry.

At The Rise Coffee Bar, one of our signature drinks made with coffee from Springbok Coffee Roasters is the Rosemary Rise Latte. This aromatic delight is a popular pick for many of our guests and has been ordered by the likes of Chef Alton Brown.

Recognized as “Charleston’s Most Instagrammable Coffee Shop.” The Rise Coffee Bar is located inside The Restoration Hotel Charleston. Open from 8am to 5pm daily, we offer classic coffee- and tea-based drinks plus a rotating selection of seasonal sips. Our pastries and bites are made in-house, including our famous bagels and cinnamon rolls.
