Celebrate the rich traditions of Asheville’s African American community at this vibrant festival presented by the historic YMI Cultural Center. The Asheville Goombay Festival fills downtown with live music, dance, cultural programming, vendors and traditional food inspired by African, Caribbean and Affrilachian heritage. The longstanding festival invites visitors of every background to experience, learn and celebrate together.
