Golfzzzz3 days agoOne of the Best I have stayed at many of the best hotels within the Americas and Europe and I would put this property in my Top Ten (maybe Five)! The guestrooms (huge) and public areas are beautiful, creative and unique. It feels like staying in a 65 room concierge "level" hotel. with its afternoon wine and crudité and the basket with fruit, muffins and yogurt outside your room each morning is very much appreciated. Staffing (especially Anna Makey) is great and the location is perfect if looking for a very upscale downtown hotel. Only one issue that some may consider a problem are the homeless in the park across the street.Posted on Expedia

A special thank you to LaSharra at the front desk and Matt, the guest curator. They were welcoming and inviting, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Traveling with our baby daughter, we especially appreciated having a crib ready for her in our room and all the thoughtful touches that made our stay comfortable and easy like the breakfast basket each morning. We even had an issue with our rental car and they handled that so professionally. The accommodations were clean, spacious, beautiful, and felt like the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. And the location couldn’t be better! Being right in the heart of Charleston made it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, the water, and so many of the city’s activities. Lesli T12 days agoThe kind of hospitality you never forget I arrived around 11 AM after a red-eye, with a college tour at 2 PM. I was exhausted and just needed to freshen up, and feel human again. LaSharia was incredible. She helped me figure everything out before we arrived and was so genuinely kind and thoughtful that I actually got emotional—I felt completely taken care of. I was honestly overwhelmed with the stress of the redeye and the tour, and LaSharia and her help made me so excited for the trip! The hotel is gorgeous, unique, spotless and incredibly homey, and the location is amazing—perfect for walking and exploring Charleston. LaSharia made sure we knew about all the special touches, from wine and cheese and cookies and milk to Rise Coffee and the treats in our room. She even came to the rescue when we randomly had a shoe issue!! We also loved The Watch upstairs—beautiful views, great food- definitely try the cinnamon pear spritz! Kendall King17 days agoThis past weekend, we used The Restoration as our wedding hotel, and I can't even count all the compliments we got on the hotel we chose! Every guest LOVED it, one even threatening to move in 😂 The rooms are spacious, many with seating areas, robes, a nice vanity to get ready at, comfy beds. They drop off breakfast in a CUTE picnic basket every morning, and every morning it's different! There's a lot to do in the hotel, including a coffee shop in the lobby, GORGEOUS rooftop bar, fun game bar in the basement. It's a perfect location in downtown Asheville, walking distance to so many great places. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and am so happy I chose it for my wedding guests to stay in!!! We'll be back!Posted on Tripadvisor

It is obvious that management takes great pride in maintaining their hotel. Our room was more luxurious than many Airbnb’s we have stayed in. Accessible to shopping, dining and their pool is quite lovely to relax and socialize with other guests. This was our first time at this hotel, and we are definitely coming back. beautiful hotel with some room for improvement ☺The location is good in terms of centrality to shops, restaurants and cultural activities.The room was tastefully designed as is the commons area of the lobby / lounge and restaurant. The floor plan and furnishings are well organized. I love the fact that a clothing steamer is in the room (best way to de-wrinkle clothing). The slippers and bathrobe are also appreciated. On the first morning (but not thereafter) a basket of fruit , cheese and pastry is left outside the door. Nice touch! The vanity desk is very useful and attractive, and the "ring" lighting is quite flattering. There is also a full size mirror which is very useful, and a decent about of space for clothes and luggage. The bed and the pillows are very comfortable and feel cloud-like. The shower has decent water pressure and the bathroom is well equipped (except for the poor amount of hooks). The valet parking set up is very convenient and the valet staff as well as the front desk staff are excellent. I also had an excellent experience with the concierge (Kaitlyn) whose assistance more than made up for any glitches of the overall hotel experience. ☹Precisely because it is so central better soundproofing should be provided so that one doesn't have to hear the street noise so clearly from the room. The walls are also fairly thin so if you happen to have a neighbor (as I did) who doesn't understand how to speak in a normal volume voice or how to avoid constantly banging up against the shared wall, you will suffer as a result. The bathroom only had one hook (on which the bathrobe was hung) so there are no handy places to hang your towel or clothes when showering. Odd. The outlet at the vanity desk is so close to the desk top that you can not plug in certain kinds of electronics (like my Dyson hair straightener) because the plug is too bulky and runs up against the desk top. These details should be more thoughtfully designed -- just an inch more of height above the desk surface would have made all the difference. The television remote control is probably the cheapest one on the market, which is surprising for a "nicer" hotel. The buttons stick or are otherwise non-responsive. It takes forever to bring up the guide, change a channel, adjust the volume -- these things should not be so time consuming, and with a better remote control they wouldn't be. The coffee pot is not so easy to do correctly even though there are instructions provided. It would be nice to have an espresso making option or at least speedier coffee room service. This is minor, but the door sign indicating that you want room service or want to be left alone is all monochromatic brown in color, so it can not be easily read from a distance. I am not sure if that is related to the fact that someone knocked on our door despite the fact that we had the do not disturb option faced outward, but from a design perspective, it doesn't make sense for these signs to be so hard to read from any distance (we had to hold it up to our face to make sure we understood which side was which).Posted on Booking

Danelle B.176 days agoHad a great stay last night. Fantastic location but parking costs what you might expect, $30 valet only. That was fine except for when they retrieved something from the back of our vehicle and didn't close it back all the way...leaving everything else in our vehicle accessible. The room was a great sleep and convenience. Shower was nice! Although a couple of the showers were cold. We wanted to wait for the breakfast basket but it hadn't arrived by 8:30 and we were ready to get on the road. The Watch was dead last night but the service and food were great. Recommend! The Rise this morning had limited items but I would expect that at a hotel coffee. The weird thing was my husband watched the guy slid his butt across to get behind the counter. No thanks. The art and books were my favorite decorative touch. The entire staff was super polite and accommodating, they gave great recommendations for places to eat/things to do. The choice of dining venues is excellent. ☹ Sending a little breakfast basket is a cute idea but skip the cold egg fritata thing and replace it with a fluffy biscuit or muffin.Posted on Yelp
Kim D.285 days agoThe hotel is in an excellent location. The aesthetic is amazing. It feels like you are in Europe. It's so comfortable, as well as being elevated and classy. You can walk to everything in downtown Asheville! We had a rental car and the is Valet is $30 day with in/out privileges. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The terrace room was great for two adults! The terrace overlooks a small park. The bed was not very comfortable, too firm for me. Everything is low flow, shower pressure not great. But the decor and housekeeping services are wonderful ! I appreciated the basket of breakfast items every morning and the in-room coffee as well as wine/snacks for social hour in the evening. If you want a hotel that is not basic choose the Restoration! Chris M.298 days agoWe really enjoyed a recent three night stay at the Restoration. We stayed in a Studio Suite, which was a fairly spacious room with modern amenities, a fridge with complimentary beverages, small sink and comfortable furnishings. They don't advertise it much, but the complimentary picnic breakfast each morning was a nice touch, as was the daily happy hour. Their restaurant on the top floor is open all day, which we stopped by for late night drinks and snacks. We didn't take advantage of it, but they also have a couple of bikes, as well as a hotel Jeep that the staff will drive you around within a few miles of the hotel. The staff were very friendly, the location is walkable to all things downtown - overall, it's a great place to stay in Charleston that has plenty of character.Posted on Yelp

From the rooms, to the meeting areas, to the restaurant and game room...it's a one stop shop! We arrived on a Friday afternoon to a bustling hotel. Matthew, from valet, greeted us with a big smile and immediately made us feel welcomed. Our room was spectacular. The marble shower was definitely the highlight. The room was more than enough space for the two of us. Housekeeping did a wonderful job every morning. The hotel was hosting a couple of weddings during the weekend so we weren't able to enjoy everything. The Draftsman Bar in the basement is a very cool spot. We joined one of the wedding parties and had a blast bowling and playing the arcade games. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. We absolutely loved Restoration!
